CONTINUING EDUCATION
COURSE FAQs

|
Q.
What education is required before I renew?
|
|
A.
Real Estate brokers and sales associates must complete
14-hours of continuing education every two years after
their first renewal. This course meets the FREC prescribed
continuing education requirements. Chapter one, two and
three of this course meet the "Core Law" requirement
and the remaining chapters are selected "specialty
education" sections.

|
Q.
What if this is my first renewal?
|
|
A.
If this is your first renewal after receiving your sales
associate or broker license, this course will
not meet the education requirements. Licensees
who are renewing for the first time must take the
45-hour post-licensing course.

Q.
How do I complete the distance education course?
|
A.
The course does not have to be completed all at once. You
should take the course at your own pace, at times convenient
to you. Remember, the course must be completed before you
send in your renewal to The Department of Business and Professional
Regulation. When you finish each chapter, complete the short
progress test. Proceed
to the next chapter when it is convenient. Most students
will need approximately 14 hours to complete this course.
You may complete it in more or less time.
When you have completed all ten chapters, take the 30 question
final examination. You must answer at least 24 (80%) correctly
to pass. You should use the course
material and the index as a reference to help you successfully
complete the complete the test. Choose the best answer for
each question. |
